No coverage of Arsenal v Wolves...

The Arsenal v Wolves FA Cup Fourth Round fixture has been replaced by the Derby v Fulham game on Roger's Sportnet this Saturday. Sorry folks, but that means we're not going to be able to see The Arsenal play this weekend (again...). If you're in the house (or at work) with an Internet connection you may want to try BBC London - I got live commentary from the Arsenal v Stoke game that way in the last round.

In fact, this page says that the game will be available online.

UPDATE: The page says that the online service is not available outside of the UK... despite this, I was able to get the Stoke game last time... I'd recommend trying anyway!

Commentary, both text and audio, is usually available through arsenal plus www.arsenal.com !

They also have a webcam of the pitch apparently.

I say apparently as I am always at the ground for home games so never get a chance to try it out and see !

Arsenal Plus is pretty good - or at least it was until they started using Micro$oft's Digital Rights Mgmt package for validating that you are who you say you are... at that point they broke their commentary service for all Mac users... :-(

If you're a Windows user and you want more than just an occassional game, I'd agree that it's worth getting (you also get goal highlight downloads and interviews thrown in). If you're a Mac or Linux/UNIX user you're out of luck though...

I have just e-mailed spotrsnet with my dissapointment.
If they get enough volume they may consider revising the decision.

Has anyone ever got soccerstreams.com to work? I tried it over Christmas when I was out of town & what was supposed to be Arsenal/Fulham looked like a bad video of a Hackney Marshes Sunday morning. Never tried it since 'cos it's another site that doesn't seem to work on a mac.

John.

If you are able to see "Viasat sport 1" Scandinavian. They will send the match live.

Soccerstreams isn't a bad option if the game is not on TV. You have to download winamp on your computer and watch the games through their private links. The other links are too choppy. I heard is you have your TV connected to your computer then the winamp streams look perfect. On the computer they are watchable but just.

Boys, it's *FREE* on Arsenal.com. Here's the link...

mms://live.wm.arsenal.servecast.net/arsenal_wmlz_live0105

Copy it and paste it into Windows Media Player (File | Open URL).

How's that for IT geekiness, Steven? ;)
